Kennel and
Obedience Club Obedience Trial.![]() Our trial started on the Sunday morning to which we had 167 entries. It was a very cold day and but fortunately remained rain free during the event. The trial ran well into the afternoon with presentations finishing at around 3pm I seem to recall. I have mostly taken photos of our members when available as I was also competing with my dog Barney on the day. Barney and I were first into the ring and added to our success the day before in earning a CDX title. Jayne took my camera whilst I waited to go into the long sits and downs and one of the shots she took is featured below. There was an abundance of helpers turned up at the trial and it all fell smoothly into place on the day. Our particular thanks go to Linda Dibbin and JayneButler who tirelessly organised this as well the Judges and Stewards of the day plus those competitors who entered the rings making the day another to enjoy and remember. Chris Pearson 9:00 am Our Stewards of the day all "rugged up" to ward off the cold and ready to go. Our Judges being introduced by Linda in front of the presentation table. Virginia, Lynne, Ken and Yvonne after vetting and clearing all entrants present. They then took on other duties such as stewarding, refreshments etc. Dorothy Robinson and her Standard Poodle competing in CCD heeling on lead. and into the Figure 8 exercise under the judging of Joan Bray. Kathy Cooper with her dalmation in the CCD ring and then into the Figure 8 seen here halted whilst in the background Joan Bray judging in that ring looks on. Lois Tye in the CCD heeling pattern with her Poodle then into the same Figure 8 exercise around our stewards. Jim and Madeline stewarding in Mrs B OConnor's Open Ring with competitor T Saunders and his Goldie at the Figure 8 off lead. Elizabeth Smith and her Border Collie firstly at fast pace then into the Figure 8 off lead in Open ring with Mrs D Hollet judging. Judge Ms J Walder drops Linda Dibbin's scented article on the seek back path as she and her Border Collie proceed in the UD ring. Linda Dibbin's Border Collie finds the article where the Judge left it and races back to Linda article in mouth. A successful exercise. This way is better!!!!!!!!!! (as I wait to go into Open ring with Barney) Mrs J Bray completes her ring marking folling the long sits and downs exercise. Lois and Dorothy can be seen in these two shots. |
